What silk is
Silk is a protein fiber spun by silkworms — no plastic, no petroleum, fully biodegradable. It remains the benchmark for fine, strong, temperature-regulating fabric.
Watch for imitations: most “satin” and “silky” products sold today are polyester. Satin names a weave, not a fiber; only the composition line tells you which one you’re buying.
